City Hall Square, Copenhagen

The City Hall Square is a public square in the centre of Copenhagen, Denmark, located in front of the Copenhagen City Hall. Due to its large size, its central location and its affiliation with the city hall, it is a popular venue for a variety of events, celebrations and demonstrations. Copenhagen Central Station

Copenhagen Central Station (Danish: Københavns Hovedbanegård, København H), is the largest station in Denmark, with entrances to Bernstorffsgade, Banegårdspladsen, Reventlowsgade and access to platforms from Tietgensgade. It is the busiest station in Copenhagen, although Nørreport Station has a larger passenger throughput if local S-train services are included. It is served by InterCity and regional trains and S-trains.

Eurovision Song Contest 1964

The Eurovision Song Contest 1964 was the ninth Eurovision Song Contest. It was held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark after the Danish victory the previous year. Italy won the contest for their first time scoring 49 points with the song "Non ho l'età", performed by Gigliola Cinquetti.

Imperial Theater, Copenhagen

The Imperial Theater is a cinema in Copenhagen, Denmark which has the largest single screen in Northern Europe with 1102 seats. It is THX certified and has a digital projector from Texas Instruments. The cinema opened in 1963 with the musical West Side Story. It was almost ruined in the 1980s and a proposition was made to split it up to five screens. This plan was ultimately rejected, and Nordisk Film, the current owner, bought it from Stjernebiograferne.

Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Copenhagen

The Radisson Blu Royal Hotel is a hotel in Copenhagen, that was designed by Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen for the airline Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) between 1956 and 1960. At its completion the hotel was the largest in Denmark, at 69.60 meters in height, the first skyscraper in Copenhagen until 1969 and at the same time the tallest building in Denmark. In 2009, it was the seventh highest tower in Denmark.

Socialist Youth Front

Socialist Youth Front is a far-left revolutionary political youth organization in Denmark, consisting of 1.500 members distributed between 35 autonomous local groups. It was established in 2001 on the initiative of far-left youth group Rebel and the youth network of the Red-Green Alliance (Enhedslisten). Other organizations like the somewhat similar Rød Ungdom (Red Youth) were also invited to join, but refused.

Tivoli Gardens

Tivoli Gardens (or simply Tivoli) is a famous amusement park and pleasure garden in Copenhagen, Denmark. The park opened on August 15, 1843 and is the second oldest amusement park in the world, after Dyrehavsbakken in nearby Klampenborg. With 4.033 million visitors in 2012, Tivoli is the second most popular seasonal theme park in the world, the most visited theme park in Scandinavia and the fourth most visited in Europe, only behind Disneyland Paris, Europa-Park Rust and the Efteling.

University of Copenhagen Faculty of Law

The University of Copenhagen Faculty of Law (Det juridiske fakultet) has two departments including a number of research centres and prepares students for the Bachelor of Law degree (BA) and the profession degree in Law, cand. jur. (candidatus or candidata juris). The Faculty runs a special library, known as the Law Laboratory, for students.

Valkendorfs Kollegium

Valkendorfs Kollegium is the oldest dormitory in Denmark and was founded on 26 February 1589 by the nobleman Christopher Valkendorf. The building he purchased was originally a monastery. The dormitory suffered a great deal during the Great Fire of Copenhagen in 1728. Though most of the brickwork survived, the building was rendered uninhabitable for several years.
